Suzanne Rodrigue has done embroidery since the age of eight. From the simple stitches her mother first taught her, she has progressed to ever more complicated and intricate techniques. Substituting needle and yarn for brushes and paints, she creates unique works of art that cover a broad spectrum of styles, from the whimsical to the humorous, from Victorian motifs to more contemporary trends. Using only one or two-ply yarn, she achieves an ultimately subtle and delicate effect. Her meticulous attention to detail, eye for colour and unfailing patience are evident in the finished work. | |
| Suzanne Rodrigue currently resides in Waterloo, Quebec, with her husband, photographer David Anderson, and their three young sons. |
