On the island of Montserrat
Singfield and Anderson flew to the Caribbean island of Montserrat, with a portable spray system, supplies and tools, and restored a Steinway grand piano, 1904, in two weeks: taking the frame out of the piano; restringing the piano; repairing and refinishing the sound board, frame and cabinet; as well as rebuilding and adjusting the piano action. |

Repairing pianos on location has become a specialty of the two technicians. Arriving at their customer’s house in the morning, the piano is usually repaired and tuned (sometimes including the finish touched-up) by the end of the working day. |
