"Just Joined" bristles with integrity and energy from the get go to the all done. What the fuck else do you want from us? Jughead's Revenge has been blasting the greater Los Angeles area punk scene since the days before it was safe to be punk. They've weathered the LA glam scene, the Seattle grunge invasion and even the Grateful Dead revival with their hard core roots firmly intact. A close listen to "Image Is Everything" their previous release on Nitro as well as "Just Joined" will reveal the not so subtle impact upon them by the LA scene of the early 80's. With this latest offering by Jughead's Revenge "Just Joined" results is 13 concise exercises in aggravated social commentary. Each cut demonstrates quality musicianship, well thought out lyrics combined with totally pissed off, punk rock abandon. Jughead's Revenge crammed the entire CD full of dive-bombing power riffs, galloping bass lines, precise fits of drumwork and lots of gutsy hollering, try some! It works! Their intense live shows have earned them respect at home in LA as well as on tour. Jughead's Revenge will be doing the tour de force in support of their latest release, "Just Joined" starting it up in on February 1, 1998 in Colorado for Board as Usual, along with the Snow Jam tour throughout Canada, then back to the States and Europe.
